Money does not buy happiness

Neighbor Problem

by Walter L. Jones

Walk the window
See the gray of dawn
Hear the birds
Try to sing along
Pale on the fail
Kiss the warden
Leave her jail

Cold beer finds its way down
Medium rare
Steak goes down
Lover waiting in the wings
Cover her story
As the drugs
Start to sing

Street lights
Work the stage
Voice of truth
Kind of blur
Her view

We are on the cutting edge
Makes the power
Turn from
White to red

Lay the princes in her bed
Count the dollars
Voice of tried
Now paid
Wonder if I should have stayed

Lay the pimp out
Cold to the floor
Take my daughter
Home once more
