The flower that blooms in the fall
is the one that is patiently waiting.
The hot summer sun wasn't right for this one
and she knew that she wasn't relating.

So she stayed hiding there in the garden
while others their blooms were all spent;
some beautifully chosen for vases
some others to lovers were sent.

But the flower that waited with honor
didn't want to be just like another.
She slowly grew petals of delicate hue
and then brought out her leaves to discover.

The flower that blooms in the fall
never asked to be chosen at all-
she simply delighted in taking her time
for patience was always her call.

The flower much sweeter with time
now believes that her dream has come true.
So never give up if you've yet to be found.
