Fishes in a pew

Bent Out Of Shape

by Walter L. Jones

Trouble works the bind
Ever sent in wedge
Souls dance to play
A magic in greave
Only faces explore
Open in poor
Food in soft falls about
Sky opens a haven
Religious masks
Cover the sin of reliable
Shelter the gold calf
Amber in solace
Only faces to explore an eating core

Dread pushes the envelope
As skip to hue
Sky in gray and blue
Plays the show given
Only white pups escape
Fire and brimstone
Hung in pictures
Cover the barren
Once child of plenty

Redress the want
Lust in covers hid
Advance the pallid
Piper plays to the few
Drags children along
Songs of time
As the rope hands
Hands spin the tales
Double Dutch gains momentum
Desire fills the pages
Sells to the cold
She owes no one

Faces cover the unexpected
Time replaces the book and candle
Stretch of hope
Falls into the burning
Only age keeps time
All fails
He takes her to a place
All stops
Reality sleeps for now
