Believe In Love

Believe In Love
                                               by michael cahill

quick to gasp
quick to believe
believe your heart
believe your souls
souls ever young
souls with tempers
tempers emotional
tempers with rage
rage blinds
rage against the current
current circumstances
current sweeps hope away
away to somewhere far
away to nowhere
nowhere embracing doom
nowhere that is safe
safe seems lost
safe loses heart
heart seeks adventure
heart conquers loneliness
loneliness in oblivion
loneliness rescued
rescued destiny
rescued from deceit
deceit of sight
deceit of thought
thought twists
thought tortures
tortures truth
tortures my dreams
dreams of a girl
dreams of a life
life that is unique
life that I seek
seek not to find
seek to discover
discover your due
discover you
you smiled at the sun
you sought the moon
moon shimmered light
moon dancing at night
night where I play
night shadows singing
singing to our souls
singing for love
love forever
love victorious
victorious
forever

Writing Prompt
the challenge: write a blitz poem.

*please read rules below very carefully*

-------------

the blitz poem, created by robert keim, is a stream of short phrases and images with repetition and rapid flow.

it is meant to be read very quickly.

-------------

rules....

~ begin with short phrase (it may be a cliché) in line 1

~ line 2 begins with the same first word as line 1

~ lines 3 and 4 begin with the last word of line 2

~ lines 5 and 6 begin with the last word of line 4

....and so on, continuing with each subsequent pair beginning with the last word of the line above them - this establishes a pattern of repetition which is continued through line 48.
*note: lines 1-48 should be short but at least two words.

~ line 49 is the last word of 48
~ line 50 is the last word of 47

~ the title must be only three words in the following order:
1. first word from the line 3
2. preposition or conjunction
3. first word from line 47

~ NO punctuation
