Lord Krishna outshines most of the immortal greats
Due to his godly accomplishments and traits; Having displayed the practical and righteous track, He departed nearly five thousand years back. Mathura-Jail in India was his birthplace Where his parents faced agony and disgrace; The jail turned shrine is still standing almost intact Making worldwide folks come and witness this fact. Cruel Kans reigned over Mathura at that time Committing horrid atrocities and crime; Being sure of demise by his sister’s eighth son, He put the newly wedded pair in prison. Calculating any one might be the eighth son, He extirpated seven buds one by one; But at Bhadon Ashtami’s rainy dark midnight Destined ray alighted to emit delight. Kans and all the prison guards had slept as spellbound Paving the way for three souls to use free ground; For executing the whole campaign without fail Vasudev took Krishna to Gokul from jail. Krishna enjoyed mom’s loving care from Yashoda Till the minor was hailed as divine yodhda; Having ended Kans and all such vicious creatures, He gave us Gita as one of true teachers! |
