Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
free verse

Cycle of Life

by TAB_that's me

from soil
      I rise
      drinking the sunshine
      as the ocean
      laps my feet
 
I stretch far higher
      than any tree
      boundaries
      I do not know
 
I am
      the horizon
      where earth touches infinity
 
I am one
      with every living being
one with
      the stars of the mighty sky
      the trees so strong and proud
      the fireflies twinkling in the night
 
I am
      the sun
      powerful, that no one lives without
 
I am one
      with grass and birds and butterflies
      with bees, and flowers and even cows
 
I am one
      with nature
one with         
      God
and one
      with the universe
 
In God I grow
      reaching new destinies
      and then I shrink and wither and die
decompose
      into the soil
      from which I was born
