Could we?
If I Could Just...
by Sandra Stoner-Mitchell
If I could just step out of time
and be a molecule so small, I'd watch the ancients work their rhyme in gentle signs for our recall. If I could be just like a gust of soothing breeze so hushed with song. I'd listen to the changing crust as Earth and Ocean forge along. If I could just stand next to me and see myself the way you do, a weeping branch from Willow tree, or strong and sturdy as the Yew? If everyone could see all things, would we begin to understand the gifts we share that Nature brings, are handed down from God's own hand? |
