The Letter From Little Girl

by Jim Lorson Sr

To my papa,

Papa, it was my time to leave.
We had a great four and a half years
and I know you are heartbroken and you need to grieve,
but please papa, cry no more tears.

You gave me a life most dogs never know.
You loved me, spoiled me and protected me.
I was never on a leash, I was free to go
but, there was nowhere else that I wanted to be.

I will always be by your side.
I will be that gentle breeze to caress your face.
I am up on these wondrous clouds that I ride.
So papa, don't fret, I am in a wonderful place.

I want to look down and see you smiling
as you think about the great times together we had.
Remember, listen to the birds as they sing
to help lift your spirits from sad to glad.

So, hold our memories tightly in your heart
and continue to laugh and love while we are apart.

Love you papa

Little Girl

Recognized

I tried to think how Little Girl would look upon her untimely and tragic death. She was very special and helped me through those dark days while I battled my cancer. Little Girl had a way of calming my fears without words. I miss her tremendously as she was the love of my life. the picture is of her. A gorgeous little mix of terrier and long haired Chihuahua. Rest in peace Little Girl,,,,,,jim
