Send 'er down, Hughie
Ode to Rain
by kiwisteveh
O, gracious Gaea's life-blood, seasons' friend, Wherever with your precious healing balm You spread your blessing and to all extend Your gifts, will flourish plenitude and calm. As spring growth burgeons forth, with gentle showers You nourish and sustain the buds that swell And burst to beauty's promise of delight. Our world's perfumed with panoply of flowers As violet, crocus, foxglove, asphodel In lush cascade make fragrant day and night. When Sol in summer majesty displays His mighty presence, all men seek your aid To mitigate and cool his burning rays. Your grey battalions tender pleasing shade And summer rains invigorate the fields. In red and yellow splendour autumn strides Through harvest days. The barn and store-room burst With your sweet bounty. Now wild winter wields His might and still your flowing cup provides Elixir of the gods to slake our thirst. |

On second thoughts, Hughie....
The tanks are all full and so are the rivers and streams. I can't walk in my back yard without sinking up to my ankles in mud and the whole tribe's suffering from cabin fever. Do ya reckon you might hold fire just for a day or two?
