Background Music
SONGS and MEMORIES

As time goes by we reminisce,
flowers in your hair from that sixties bliss,
A little walk in 'Norwegian Wood',
And the calm 'Penny Lane' is just as it should,
'Hello, Goodbye', as the music plays loud,
''Hey Jude''! Someone cries, as we pass in the crowd,
She said yes but you said no,
'A Hard Day's Night' with nowhere else to go,

The Beehive and the Bob, fashions of the day,
Some say that 'Eleanor Rigby', wore her hair that way,
The Mop Top and the Crew Cut, short back and short side,
Whatever your obsession, there was always 'A Ticket to Ride',
A night at Tin Pan Alley, polish up your 'Old Brown Shoe',
And 'Strawberry Fields Forever', was a song that we all knew,
Babycham or Snowball, a little Brylcream for your hair,
'Eight Days a Week' for loving, and 'Michelle' was always there.

'And I love Her' came a whisper, 'she gives me everything,'
She's Leaving Home Tomorrow, as he shows his wedding ring,
In the corner another couple, his mohair suit bathed bright,
with 'Lady Madonna' beside him; at least that was her name that night,
'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,' certain questions that we would share,
But as marmalade skies became frightening, the answers became more rare,
And now 'Yesterday' all our troubles seems so far away,
but there is 'Something' in the way she was, that forever in your mind will stay,

The 'Long And Winding Road' my friends is like a 'Magical Mystery Tour,'
You never know where it is going to, but it may lead right to your door,
So regardless of your Era, we welcome you this day,
Come sit and perhaps share your saga, recline and enjoy your stay,
Be it Beehive, Bob, Crew Cut, or Bun, or extensions of your choice,
We are committed to your perfection, to whatever you feel is nice,
And remember in times of troubles, sometimes 'Just Let It Be,'
Our memories are our salvation, our memories will set us free.

Author Notes
I wrote this originally to be placed on the walls of a couple of Health and Beauty Salons of a friend of mine and owner of the ShineGroup. This resulted in me being asked to have it voice recorded such was its liking. I post it here for your enjoyment, especially for those who liked or still like The Beatles and the era of which they came. Please enjoy both the audio and the written version. Please have a nice day. RGstar
