This work has reached the exceptional level
Kids on drugs...

I've had enough!

by seewhatimwritingnow

There comes a time when one must say
"I've had enough, please go away"
When each day ends in push to shove
Defiance met with your Tough Love

Pushed away from attempted hugs
Now living in a world of drugs
Afraid of those who know your name
Where does one now lay the blame ?

Can't reach the mind, can't reach the heart
Your happy home now torn apart
Policemen knocking at your door
Just like so many nights before

You know somewhere inside there lies
That loving child who slowly dies
That one you've given all your best
Wears ankle bracelet- House arrest

Age eighteen has come and gone
And still you cry, just hangin' on
There comes a time when one must say
"I've had enough, please go away!"
