Crime Doesn't Pay

by Aussie

I creeps and scuttles
Through smelly stuff,
And I sees a finger in the leaves,
so I grins to myself and heaves
Myself up.
Bite!
I hears a scream of agony
And the swollen finger pulls away.
I says to myself. "That were good.
Aunty Black Widow'll
Be pleased wiv me"
So I swells wiv pride
And makes my way back
To my lovely little nest
Under the flowerpot.
I keeps thinking how well I did.
Of course I'm not a patch on
Aunty Black Widow.
My Aunty wears black all the time
Since my uncle passed away.
Mortein Mentholated did for him.
Anyway,
back in the web
I greets my wife
All friendly like
And tells her about my success.
Then suddenly the ground vibrates
With footsteps.
We hears a voice -
"They're around here somewhere."
And he lifts the flowerpot and
Splat!
