A Knight breaks his promise to the Goddess.

Melusina - Goddess of the Waters

by Aussie

Virgin Knight by the River Stowe
Sees a stirring of waters deep
Bubbling and creaming; movement below
In pale moonlight, fish do leap

Melusina female form - ghostly glow
Goddess of the waters rises from her keep
Her beauty beguiles him - rising slow
Virgin Knight - in love does leap

She takes his hand, caresses his face
Her beauty has won his heart
He watches her elegant grace
Drunk with delight - never to part

Melusina and Virgin Knight
He breaks his promise not to look
Her bathing naked gives delight
Virgin Knight drowned in bubbling brook

Melusina Goddess of the waters can be found wherever water runs - from fountain to stream she remains supreme. She walked as a human companion for the Knight on the promise that he would let her bathe alone - never to gaze upon her. She dragged him under and his blood turned to water.
