He Could have Called

by Allison78

He could have called

Ten Thousand Angels

but He stayed

and shed His holy blood

for you and for me

to save us from our iniquity

and now the curtain

is torn

and death is no more

He stayed on the cross

and cried to His Father

He Could have called Ten Thousand Angels

but He stayed

and the curtain is torn

and death is no more

He rose from the dead

He did it for us

Agony and anguish He suffered thousand fold

He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels

but He stayed and then arose

Those ten thousand now sit at His feet

As He sits on the Father's right side

For we can now call on Him

I could really use some help on this one! It's also a tribute to my favorite Easter hymn "He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels"
