AIN'T LOVE GRAND?
Love is the connection of chance a glimpse in time a moment of observation when two stars seem to align perfectly in their own stellar and very unique constellation forming a friendship, a bond and a union of souls * * * Love is the joy and pain in trusting wholeheartedly and at times foolheartedly Love is being let down but exercising forgiveness and moving forward with clarity yet some confusion ... * * * Love is hearts embarking on a journey of shared experiences with patience tolerance and understanding Love is patience when you want to wring his neck Love is tolerance when you want to throttle her sideways ...and love is understanding you simply can't do either * * * Love is being at home in your own skin and sliding around on top of his Love is feeling completely comfortable with reality in every way ... well almost Love is sometimes using the throne room with the door open Love is sleeping in the wet spot Embracing bad habits: - Cover fluffing Ambient aromas and usually at some point stretch marks and three a.m. feeds Love is seeing him well up during a chick flick and pretending not to notice Love is seeing her look her absolute worst laying on a hospital gurney like a gutted cow pushing out your child yet knowing you just saw her at her absolute best ... Love is the acceptance of another significant other warts and all ... Ain't love grand? (C) |
Writing Prompt Write a free verse poem. Free verse is a form of poetry that does not necessarily follow to any specific meter patterns, rhyme, or any other pattern. Free verse, despite its freedom, often still has some elements of form. Most free verse does observe a convention of lines and structure. |
