How the war changes our young soldiers.

Products of the War
**** We lost the world that we once knew, a world made up of me and you. Always on some high adventure, that my parents would have censured. **** They would have stopped us if they knew that I was in a plane with you. Checking out the city lights to barnstorming on summer nights. **** Dipping, diving in the air as if we didn't have a care. Young and foolish you and I never thinking we could die. **** "Live today forget tomorrow, time is something we can't borrow ". But our motto lost its sheen when the war came on the scene. **** When you had to go away to fight the war that fateful day. You returned an empty shell. Not the same boy I could tell. **** You hate the world you've come to know, a world that's made your heart hurt so. A world that's sad and desolate. A world that you cannot forget. **** A world that's cruel and unforgiving. A world that made life not worth living. It's sad, the war has changed you so. You're not the boy I used to know.
