Simon and the Snake Charmer

by eliz100

Simon slowly slipped through the grass
With slinky-like movements
His tongue sliding in and out
Slabbering for his next meal
His sleek diamond-decorated back
Slaloming down the hill

Slashing his way through the bushes
Slaking for his next meal
The mighty slayer that he is
A nice meaty mouse would last him a long time.
Simon hears movement and slows in place.
He wants a good meal and not a slumgullion

The sly snake waits slily
There is a hint of mouse in the air
Slinking slowly forward intent on the mouse
Simon slips his head into the slipknot snare
Of the old snake charmer
Slim and alive is better that fat and slain .
