The resurrection of Jesus....Is not Easter!

The Living God

by Razz

Though Jesus was sent by God,
Though He preached and taught of God's grace,
There would be no Christianity, if He were not
The Living God.

Though Jesus was persecuted for speaking of love,
Though He answered only to His Father above,
There would be no Christianity, if He were not
The Living God.

Though He walked this earth healing the lame
Though He more than deserved world-wide fame
There would be no Christianity, if He were not
The Living God.

Though He was beaten, bloodied and battered,
Though the gates of hell He surely shattered,
There would be no Christianity, if He were not
The Living God.

Though He suffered and died on a cross that dark day,
Though He promised to take the world's sins away,
There would be no Christianity, if He were not
The Living God.

Though His broken body was placed in a tomb,
Though He was sinless right from the womb,
There would be no Christianity, if He were not
The Living God.

And, as He promised, He rose from the dead,
All sins forgiven just as He said,
For all of those who with their heart did say,
"Forgive me, God, for I have sinned this day."

If from the dead He did not rise,
He'd be like all the other guys,
Just another self proclaimed god,
And in that there'd be no applaud.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a reality!
There would be no Christianity, if Christ was not
the Living God!

Praise His Holy name.
Thank you, Father, for your most precious Son.

Just a side note on the word easter. It does not appear in the original manuscripts. It only appears once in the Bible and that was an abomination. The word easter is translated PASCHA, which means the passover. Jesus became our passover.
Easter translated Ishtar is a pagan ritual/sexual orgy...thus the bunny rabbit and eggs which have absolutely nothing to do with the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To the contrary, those symbols have no right or place in Christianity. Especially, to represent the Resurrection of Jesus.
The translators were not very respectful or loving toward our Lord when they inserted "Easter" instead of Pascha.

Have a peaceful and glorious passover.
