in baritone persuasions' dulcet touch
and my soprano's deference, so stark

that messages of love vibrate the strings
of every fibre running through my whole;
to muscles' wry accompaniment, she sings
an aria that twines our very souls

in bondage unintended by her song,
asylum's wall encompassing my mind
with dark affection's desperation's throng;
devotion turned into a tie that binds.
