Who I Am Now

Who I Am Now

 

A deep longing exists for what could have been

If only what I know now, I had known then

Life would not always be filled with misery

Eventually, it would be history

For a great many years I questioned, “why me?”

And was this how life was truly meant to be

Now, I ask, “Why not me?” then can think this way

All of my past made me who I am today
