All right, back to the dark side
A chapter in the book A Tome of Pestilence
Shambling in a drunken promenade alongside the dark
Cold brick and stone line the byways of this poor soul's life
My sight mystified, greedy in its light, deep cryptic plights
Mephistopheles powers displayed fully maligning angelic rights
Whispers in the frigid, barren, moonless, primordial night
"Come this way, join my embrace"
Spinning in circles, searching the lonely track
Lucifer's evil arises, decrying his unjust plight, cherished words aflame
Orbs of fire break from the inner storm, hating, beguiling
Searching for the perfect vessel to lay his blight
Journeys down this desolate alley of the mind, haltingly questing
"No, I scream. Flaunt your wares elsewhere"
Howling as he advances into the turmoil of my doubt,
"Darkness of your soul, lays your life low, Beelzebub delights"
Unshuttering my eyes wide, unholy sights fragment this heart
"I have done no wrong, God forgives me, be gone"
Deepening blackness fills the pathways of the blighted, seeking me
"That is a farce, beloved devil spawn of mine come home"
Esoteric mournful muses play the lonely harp, calling, guiding
"Darkness may abound in the dark, but my heart is in the light"
Surmounting the walls surrounding my heart, Asmodeus strikes
"Darkness, Light, beyond most mortals sight, come home child o' mine"
Laid low by the devil's blight, this withered soul blasted by the dark
"I am unable to fight, guide me, teach me, I forfeit this beating heart"
Encompassed, smothered by the abysmal dark, Moloch harvests a life
"Thou never had the holy right, fornicated thy faithful, truthful life"
Sobbing as the blackest light obliterated, destroyed essence inside
Screaming for the most high God, calling upon his might
"Dear God above, deliver this soul from purgatory this night"
A voice in my heart; "My son you gave up the right"
Enough of the gooey love poems, it is time to return to the darkside of the human soul.Pays one point and 2 member cents.
