Kremlin's domes
Poland's gnomes
Latvia's hill beams
Belarus birch forests sway
Talin's medieval square gleams

other trips
curves and dips
Lassen's lava stains
to South American sojourns
fortunate there were no rains

Rio divine
sites combine
Brazil's mighty falls
with sublime views Argentine
Chile's mountain lift re-calls

then there's Bob
no more job
thirty happy years
at CGS were awesome
and a great ride with his peers

work won't cease
will speak piece
calls every day
from various journalists
the public still wants his say

Ryan's trains
bring refrains
Turkey Day astride the coast
plus Ashland's long tradition
railroading we toast and boast

Recognized

As many of you know, my husband Bob and I travel a great deal. Sometimes the trips are for his work, which will slow down, since he had to close his non-profit, non-partisan organization on strengthening democracy (Center for Governmental Studies) due to lack of funds. Some of you also are aware that our son Ryan is a serious train buff and that we take family-tradition, train trips together.
