A chapter in the book Poetic Reflections of God

Pass It On

by sweetwoodjax

His hands held mine so tenderly
as he led me on the way.
He put them both together
as we knelt by the bed to pray.

His hands may have been calloused,
but he was a gentle soul.
He could hold the wildest stallion
and calm a newborn foal.

Now I hold my child's hand
firmly in my own,
and teach the morals I was taught
and pass his values on.
