Sand Castle on the Shore

by sweetwoodjax

Taking a dip in the ocean,
Building sand castles on the shore.
Eating ice cream by the scoop,
These are things that I adore.

Moonlit strolls along the beach,
Barefoot in the sand.
Spending time with my love,
Walking hand in hand.

Swimming with the dolphins,
A picnic on the beach.
Casting a line off the pier
With a cold coke within reach.

Boardwalk filled with laughter,
Vendors tending their carts.
When summertime has ended,
I hold these things in my heart.

The waves wash away the castles
Made from hardened sand.
North winds make the waters cold
But we still walk hand in hand.
