A MyStyle Prose

by prophetess

I don't know about you, but from where I sit our future looks pretty bleak.
Our educational system is a joke; it forces our kids to turn to the streets
looking for what their school doesn't teach.

We're raising children who can barely even read, and close schools in
communities where hearts and souls bleed for someone who cares
to save the day, and teach them there's a better way.

What will happen to our children when they're grown, when we as a
generation are gone? Those that are now young will grow old,
how many of them will be forced to sleep in the cold?

We build more rehabs and prisons to house the drug addicts and
criminals we'll produce, instead of doing what it takes to reduce
the carnage of our youth.

How can our children be expected to take a future they may never   see, seriously?
Their minds are filled with the perils of doom and destruction endlessly.
The threat of 2012 exploited mercilessly.

We, as a nation and a society, are ensuring the next generation's demise
by filling their minds with fantasy and lies, letting them believe that our
ways are wise and not telling them that they need to hope, open their eyes
to a broader scope of doing and being and seeing, the future is theirs
to make it or break it, build a new future, start now, don't forsake it.
