Hunting Down My Loneliness

by andrewm89

Cracks in the Foundation
Make the water seeping
The loneliness is drowning
Saturated dreams tell me to stop breathing

The shelter is flooded and overdue to be cleaned
The loneliness extenuates the cracks like a draping
On a window slightly opened -- light breaking
The loneliness kills like a hunter

No remorse, it made you go under
To commit crimes like a felon
Lurking and Sneaking in the dark
Sins on the end of these arrows

It conquered and had it's way --
An arrow in my shoulder as I'm laying down in the Spring Grass
Plundered by these fresh new ideas
It makes it so much easier to ride life's bicycle

That adventurous side of the boy
The dangerous boy
I love it when u look at me with those eyes
Eyes cleaving a piece you think special

Hunted down crimes and sins
They found their ways inside --
Trying to swallow that boy like lava
Running from the flow of the volcano

But he really does not know -- what I am
Old blood -- from a different land
Thrown under the bus --
A white bicycle to remember

A retaliation
My loneliness has been hunted down
But the regret runs rampant in this town
Trying to send arrows of sin through my soul
I can only --
Block like lightning to be the boy he chose

Emotions have overcome us all at one time or another. It could be from someone that broke our heart or just life in general. We all handle situations differently, some good, some bad. This contest gives us the ability to explore this. Write a poem that expresses feelings and emotions such as anger or depression. Any type of poem is welcomed.

This poem is prose like most that I do, and this is the first time I'm ever posting anything. I hope everyone enjoys -
