Author Notes
The use of pre-dawn is meant to symbolize not only the time of day depicted in the image, but also represents the state of quiet-mind musing, when inspirational ideas and insights arise naturally and lead one to a deep sense of peace and inner calm. This serene state is a prelude to real meditation, in which the mind is entirely free of thoughts and one's inner light delivers silent, yet eloquent, illumination.
