Jenny is just another spirit who has donned a human suit and attempts to navigate her surroundings each day without making too many faux pas.
Her interests are many and varied, among them fantasy, poetry, music and magick.
She also finds engaging in spirited back and forths with those holding viewpoints different from hers particularly rewarding.
Jenny's muse, Luna, (the Roman Goddess of the Moon) has been a part of her life for too many years to count, and frankly there are times when the line between muse and poetess blur. Luna is as real to Jenny as the ground beneath her feet.
Jenny's a dreamer in the purest sense of the word.
She's a parent as well, so she does possess the capability to bring her mind from the clouds to the earth and lead her children by word and example as they experience the bumps and bruises of growing up.
Jenny values most the qualities of honesty and tolerance in others. Looks don't mean a whit to her; it's what is on the inside of a person that ultimately tells the tale. What are you made of?
Jenny and Luna's poem, "Change of Heart" was the first place winner in the site sponsored "The Words are the Same" contest. "Seamstress," "Camelot Dreams," "Her Lovely Light," and "Conversation with My Maker" have been published in Merging Shadows - The Member Collection - 2008; Community of Poets Collection, Volume 7, Shadows Ink Publications.
In 2009, their poems,"Oh, Mother Moon," "A Small Reprieve," "Volcano," "Change of Heart," and "Fairy Song" were featured in the Fading Shadows - The Member Collection, 2009, Shadowpoetry Community of Poets Collection Volume 8.
Jenny has published a chapbook entitled "Luna's Vision ~ dreams and fantasies" a collection of their favorite poetry. It's available for sale on Amazon. It was ranked number 1 of the 10 best selling chapbooks for the first quarter of 2010 at her beloved Shadowpoetry site.
Jenny recently moved to Pennsylvania to establish a life with her domestic partner. They live in the middle of Amish Country; instead of gunfire, traffic and airplanes taking off or landing as background noise, the only background noise to be heard from our window is the clippity-clop of the horses and buggies as they drive by. What a welcome change.
This site is Jenny's second home. She's made some lifelong friends here.
Loves SLASH, the late Jim Carroll (both his writing and music), the late Sylvia Plath, the late Dorothy Parker, Christopher Walken, Kevin Smith, David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino.
A Cancer and dominated by the Moon; obviously favorite times are full moon.
Jenny's Irish through and through. She reveres and respects her Celtic upbringing and has recently been pleased to learn that Bluegrass music actually traces its roots to the Celts. Her family all hailing from below the Mason-Dixon line, Jenny has long been a bluegrass fan and can clog with the best of 'em.
Her fantasy (other than to sit upon the Moon - duh) is to one day visit the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
Jenny and Luna are open to taking poetic challenges - give them some specifics and they'll do their best to rise to your challenge! We hope to hear from you soon with your requests.
