Poem about what is seen too many times in the ER
Emergency Room
by justjo66
I saw a child today without a tear
Her arm was broken was my fear Her dad stood smelling of alcohol How it happened he could not recall Not a sound made when the arm was set We'll see her again, I will bet Dad is reported that's what I do We're able to save only a few Day in and out children are hurt People, we must stay on the alert Not one more child do I want to see Tearless and silent looking at me |
