Without word in a poet's thought...My Form

The Silent Poem

by Mike K2

What a fear!
When a poet can't command the word.
Nothings there!
How will poem, make itself be heard?

Writer's Block!
The mind insists on total quiet...
Words seek flock,
even they prefer to have some rest.

Quiet soul,
this poem without word, just resounds.
Like a foal,
shaking, rising on new feet and bounds.

Words-Clothing!
One's mind too needed a little rest;
Image's roving,
shed allowing ideas to flee nest.

All is still,
'cept all around, then words will be found;
heard as a scratching quill.

Too many writer's worry about not being able to write, and I am mired in so much serious thought about everything, I said to myself, "Screw it, I need a day of nothingness."

I realized the words I possess wanted a break as well, and I realized the words are all around us, especially on a cold, rainy day that makes you bones ache.
