We all have been through hard times this I can truly relate from raising my children on my own.
I use to have yard sales to recouped some of my lost.
Most of the people couldn't afford my prices no, matter how much I reduced it.
I heard His voice say. "Practice what you preach, it's better to give than receive."
Lord, do you know what You saying, You know I'm going through another storm?"
Besides I didn't like the idea of giving to Good Will. Yes, they pick items up that would give me more free time.
I didn't like whatever was donated, they sell to back to the poor.
I understand the political reasons. It just does not jell with me.
My daughter Melinda has many young friends who are facing harder times than me.
I told her to pass the word B-Y-O-B-B everything is free. I listen to the Master.
One day I notice a new aid wearing old sneakers. they were so raged the sloe was falling off.
You know they don't make sneaker like they use too, unless you're paying three hundred or more.
For months I said nothing due to the fact I didn't want to embarrasses her and, the next day was Friday, pay day I assume she would return Monday with new ones.
To my surprise she return wearing flip flop until spring, this was killing me. One day she was bending over, I asked "What was wrong?"

"Oh nothing." She replied.
Of course I knew what was wrong by the way she was walking.
The poor child wore those rubber flip flops until it stretched the opening and the connection had gave way.
She was pushing it back into the opening.
My mother always said "Don't by your man shoes or he will walk away from you."
This is not my man, it's a young lady in need.
I thought, what would Jesus do ?"
So I gave her money for a new pair of shoes.

being used in my life my motto is"In God I trust." Not taking any chances not only did I want to see them on her feet. but shown me the store receipt. She kept saying she would pay me back I looked at her as if she was crazy.
"You can pay me back by one day helping someone in need okay."
She looked at me smiling saying. "No one ever did anything for me without wanting something in return."
She kept thanking me until I told her. "Don't thank me Thank Jesus." When you spell Christmas the first six letters is Christ- which means He's with us any where,at any time.
