Write a story that starts with this sentence: "I knew something was wrong."
Your story must start with the sentence above. Do not add to the sentence. You have the option to put it in quotes (for dialogue) and to change the punctuation at the end for proper grammar.
Example:
"I knew something was wrong," said John, scratching his head. "The dialogue and story can continue..."
But do not add to the sentence or change it in any other way.
One entry per person. Minimum length 700 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words. If you are the current title holder for this contest you are not eligible.
The winners will be selected by the FanStory.com Contest Committee. The committee will read and discuss the entries. A winner will be announced approximately one to two weeks after the deadline passes.
