Okay, science fiction/fantasy lovers, start your word processors and get ready to transport us to the outlands!
Write a science fiction or science fantasy, strong character story that somehow incorporates the artwork to the left. I'm looking for vivid characterization--rich, defined character(s) with dimension, motivation and conflict. Entries must be science fiction or science fantasy. (If you're not sure what these are, look them up before you start writing!)
Minimum length 1,500 words. Maximum Length 3,500 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,000 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 50.00 member dollars. There are only 2 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 60.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
