A question was asked of high school students: what should students learn?
The answers might surprise you. Responses ranged from personal hygeine, manners, understanding the fame of football. and knwing when to compromise.
Today's school curriculum has changed little in the decades of American history. Everyone has an opinion about education, including politicians who have never taught.
In your essay, address those essential bits of learning that all students should have mastered by the time they graduate from high school.
This is not to be a condemnation of the current educational system, but rather a fresh, and even humorous, look at those skills that adults need to function.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 45.00 member dollars. There are 9 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
