Without the trimmings
Poetry Contest
Write a poem, any style or length, rhymed or unrhymed, without the "trimmings" - no music, video, animation, no artwork or color background, no fancy fonts.
Must be in unbolded, un-italicized plain black font, no large sizes or caps, on a white background.
Let's give everyone a level playing field.
This is how Webster defines a level playing field:
"A situation in which everyone has a fair and equal chance of succeeding."
Of course, I cannot technically ban the promotion, it is up to you - but we all know that highly promoted works get much more attention and more votes.
I want this piece to win on a merit only.
So, let's get plain and let's get interesting.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
