NO, NO, NO! Not THAT again!
This is a prose contest and maybe a poetry contest. It's a prose and poetry contest. It's a writing contest ... yeah, that's it, a writing contest.
You are to write a piece incorporating as many of the familiar and beloved CONSTANTLY repeating contest prompts we have grown to hold close to our hearts. I'm talking about, "stuck in an elevator", "bounty hunter", "zombie 5-7-5", "the chicks in the bar", "a typical day in your life", "funny, cute, or otherwise lovable animal 5-7-5", "the last man on Earth hears a knock on the door", "write a sonnet", "write another sonnet", "would this be of any interest to you, dearest?" (the polite flasher prompt). There are countless others to choose from. You may use any or all of them.
There are no rules. I don't wish to squelch anyone's creative impulses with petty rules, not in a project of this magnitude. The stars and even dimensions beyond are within your grasp here.
Any length. Any width. Any form of presentation enhanced by anything you wish.
Prose, poetry, script, fiction, non-fiction or a combination--all good.
To summarize: Write a piece including as many of the endlessly repeating contests prompts as you wish. There are no other rules and no one will be disqualified. Merry Christmas to the CEC. And to all a good night.
Inspired by a story I read by Girrafmang--FUNNY!
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 35.00 member dollars. There are 11 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
