Write a Novel In a Month!
A contest for any brave souls willing to attempt writing a 30,000 word novel in 30 days!
Write a (fiction) novel in any genre on any subject
(but please keep the first chapter clean!)
Other 'Rules':
1.) ALL submissions MUST be NEW creations! Novels you are currently working on, or that you have already begun ARE NOT ALLOWED. (This puts everyone on an even footing.)
2.) You MUST enter each day's individual word count in your author notes AS WELL AS your running total.
[Ex. Today's total (1300) + Running Total (23,786) = New Total (25,086) ]
3.) Number of posts doesn't matter -- you can post a chapter a day, every other day or once a week -- as long as the total number of words meets or exceeds 30,000 words at contest end on November 30, 2015. [Recommended DAILY posting length =1000-1500 words.]
4.) Contest ends November 30. Voting will begin on December 2nd and last 5 days.
5.) SAVE YOUR SPACE now. Post your first chapter as your contest entry. ONLY your FIRST CHAPTER will be judged. [Please keep the first chapters clean!]
6.) Minimum Novel Length: 30,000 words. Maximum Length: none.
**Recommended DAILY posting length =1000-1500 words.**
7.) Submissions MUST meet these guidelines. Entries that DO NOT meet each of the above guidelines WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 80.00 member dollars. There are 10 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 180.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
