Haunted Manor
Write a story about a main character who stays at/lives in a supposedly haunted manor or castle (not a regular house.) Show the story through that character's point of view, using drama as though it were a movie. What happens? Sorry, no poetry. PROSE FICTION ONLY.
If you have a true story, fictionalize it. If fiction told in first-person, please note that in author notes.
The manor or castle doesn't have to be really haunted, just needs that reputation.
Minimum word count, 700 words. Maximum 4,000
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 40.00 member dollars. There are 8 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Thursday, September 17, 2015.
