Children's Counting Poem
Poetry Contest
Let's have some fun writing a children's counting poem. Choose whatever theme you like, but there must be a count going on. You must use iambic meter where every second syllable is accented. Example: "we EN-ter CON-tests JUST for FUN". Any line length is fine. Rhyming is required. Our site teacher and friend, adewpearl, has many counting poems posted on her site if you would like to do some research before you begin. Let's have fun and show off our poetry skills :)
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 80.00 member dollars. There are only 2 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Friday, July 3, 2015.
