Poetry and Prose-Finally Together

Write a piece about any topic that includes both poetry and prose. It can be about any topic. It can be fiction or non-fiction.

There is no limitations on length, topic or style.

I've seen several pieces on site use this technique. You might begin with a haiku and then write a story inspired by the haiku finally ending with another haiku leaving the reader with something to ponder. That is just one method I've seen. The poetry can be anywhere in your piece, you decide.

These are the only rules. Rules may pop up in other sections due to the contest template, ignore them. Sometimes a word count will appear. To all concerned, entrants and committee: there is no length requirement, if one appears it is to be ignored.

Be creative and use your imaginations. There are no worries here about being disqualified as long as you include poetry and prose. This leaves you to concentrate on your writing. Good luck.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
