In Memory of Alvin T. Ethington

Poetry Contest
This is a sad time for all of us. We lost a friend, a mentor, a fellow poet who always strove for perfection and expected it of others. It is hard to believe that Alvin is gone, this was all so sudden. He left quite a legacy on this site. Many became better, more accomplished writers because of him, many were published. His standards were extremely high, but he was as hard on himself as he was on others. He was always very honest in his reviews, and we all had a share of his threes and fours on the way to perfection.

This contest is in his memory.

Write in any Japanese form that he taught. The choice is yours. Author notes are allowed and welcomed - you can share your memories and how knowing Alvin has changed your lives.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
