Every time we look into his face we can feel His love. For the ones who don't believe in the man above, I wish they would read your poem. The lines are filled with warmth and love. It's like you're saying, come to me.

Thank you for sharing this genre of poetry. I had never heard of Gogyohka before. It is quite interesting. I don't know that I can offer much in the way of a review. I did look up and read several examples, but they are all so different, it's hard for me to know. Must it only be five lines or five-line stanzas? In any case, I do like your poem and the way you've presented it. I think it's beautiful.

    Gogyohka is similar to Tanka but it doesn't have syllable limitation. It's free verse but it must be five lines stanzas. You can write 1 or more... as long as you like. It's not hard to do.

Another fine poem, Gypsy-----nor really religious but before I burst into flame I'll say I'm glad you found something you believe that brings you comfort

    I am not religious, I am more of a spiritual person. I believe the message of love is found in many religions. I get what works for me from various sources, if it doesn't work for others, that is okay. I survived Catholic school, it was awful.... gave me nightmares. I searched for a long time until I found the Unity church. It's an interfaith church.

    Anyway.... my children are atheists and one is a Wiccan.

Jesus does have a way of helping us feel safe and loved when we're feeling unloved. Thank you for sharing this very emotional poem. Your presentation is once again perfect.

i love the imagery here... just one question: how can dusk be unannounced? it comes every night lol... but that could be just my autistic spectrum brain not clicking lol.

I always appreciate when you add information about an unfamiliar poetry form and its history. It adds to the interest, but this one's merit lies in description imagery and content of feeling.

That is so beautiful Gypsy. It is amazing He loves us that way. I picture Jesus wanting to hear my stories of my day. Gathering me in a hug and holding me when I am discouraged. Thanks so much for sharing that poem. Esther
