Your questions are warranted and heartbreaking. After so many years you discover the ugly reality of betrayal. You've expressed your thoughts and feeling very clearly, and I hope it left you feeling a bit liberated. I wish you every success going forward, and best wishes in the contest.

Your message is very clear, and every bit as understandable. Betrayal leaves such a bitter after taste. One word of advice, however, don't let it destroy you. If you can look yourself in the mirror, stand proud. Best wishes for your future. After every storm, the sun eventually shines.

A very raw, honest piece of writing, LoAnn. Heart-breaking yet, in a way, cathartic because you have come to terms with the actual truth and be all the stronger and happier for it.
Well done for writing this x

It seems to me that morals and the high standards that once were are no longer in evidence any more, which in reality is so, so sad, I'm sorry that this your experience, and I'm sorry for the children for this example of gross faithlessness, well done, so sorry, blessings Roy

I am glad you got this out. The problems were him. Not you. The betrayal was his not yours. The selfish choices made were his not yours. You are enough. He wasn't. Good writing. Karen

"Not Enough" But, I really can't give anymore--of my ice cream! "-)
The emotions in this betrayal poem were well expressed. If a husband and father of fifty years is now no longer satisfied with his family. then tough on him. He made the bed; he should lie in it. Very cowardly and selfish of him to run off on his family like that. Hopefully, he learns very quickly that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Goo luck in the contest.

There is so much emotion in this poem. And what a betrayal to have to live with. I was glad to see you turn the attitude back onto the betrayer.
Good luck in the competition.

There is so much here but the structure feels off a bit. Make sure to let each line have an intentional break. You don't have to use parentheses that much. Commas are just fine. When you make a break in a line it emphasizes how you lead the reader through your work.

This poem, Not Enough, probes the difficult realities of a man with a double life and two families. The betrayal is gut-wrenching when the separations were obviously never felt by the subject.

Well written, and yes, sometimes one needs to go full circle to realise that it is not one's own fault but simply bad choices by the partner. Sometimes, even everything is not enough. Best wishes for the contest.
