This is a wonderful story about a great writer. I remember when he was here on Fanstory. I think he is handsome. It is amazing how long he has been writing and he is still at it. I also enjoy the birthday poems by Debi Marquette, she wrote one for me. I wish Jay well and admire his talent and perseverance.

There will be plenty of lawyers available; all the lawyers Trump hires, he eventually fires.

Hi Pam, Barack's story wasn't fiction, but I didn't read much of it because I'm so tired of politics. You make a great point about Trump's lawyers. I think he fires them because he can't pay them.

What a neat post. I miss Jay and his stories and reviews. He started a play, and I was writing songs to go with it, but he decided to drop it as it got too complicated with music. At least that's why I think he dropped it. Maybe it was my songs - though he said he liked them. Okay, he was being nice.
Anyway, this is a neat post. Do you like Medium? If money was a reason for Jay to leave FS, what about the money required for Medium?

Katharine, thank you for the wonderful review. I remember that play. It wasn't your songs. That was a complicated task he had set out to do.
Medium cost $50 to join, and $150 if you want to get into the money pool.
Jay has read this story, and the reviews, and said he had to dab his eyes a lot after reading each review. Thanks, Terry.

Jesse, thanks for reading. I'm surprised you don't know Jay. He has been on FS for a long time. He posted hundreds of stories and scripts. He won lots of reviewer awards. He was Writer of the Year in 2022. And you are right?he is a really neat guy. Right before he left a few months ago, he wrote about an experience where he was scammed out of everything in his bank account. It was the story of the month on FS, but tragic for him.
By going to Medium, he has been able to make some money, but he has had a difficult time, and starting over at 84 wasn't easy. Thankfully, with a lot of old-man perseverance and talent, along with some help from some FS friends, he is recovering.
But let's make no mistake. Jay loves and misses his friends here. Terry.
