A girl I knew

That One Girl

by Bryce 1

You asked for a poem
So I'll give you one now
But let me tell you first
That things will go south

I met her at the job
Worked it for years
But I met her first
Later came the tears

She was so gorgeous
A true beauty I'd say
Blonde hair blue eyed
Love who never stayed

I talked to her slowly
We eventually laughed
But in the end
She had me trapped

I asked her a lot
Why so cruel?
But then she'd say
You're a fool

I was stumped
Baffled, transfixed!
Addicted to a woman
Who plays mean tricks

In the end I saw
Where the road goes
I'd rather not say
But believe me it blows

She was not loyal
She was not sweet
In fact, I really think
She was only mean

Hypnotizing beauty
Slender tender bare
Agonizing looks
Crazy blonde hair

Do you get the picture?
Your lightbulb lit?
I still see her sometimes
She hasn't changed a bit

There's no one home
No one to love
A complete stranger
She's very tough

She grew up wrong
Her folks weren't right
Now she resides
In fight or flight

It never ends
She will always be
A mix of total lonliness
And utter beauty
