The story could be good as I get the idea> The problem is that whiskers licked her paws as if she had eaten and then promises to come back and dig the fish up> mY COMPUTER LET ME READ YOUR STORY BUT REFUSES TO BEHAVE OTHERWISE. oR I COULD ALL BE ME NOT CATCHING ON.

Hi Carol...Whiskers licked her paws because she had been catching Lester in the fish tank. Then she got Max to chase her so the bowl got knocked over and he got the blame for killing the fish. Max got in trouble and Whiskers went back for her dinner. That's it in a nut shell. LOL

HAHAHAHA!

Hello, dear one! My, I've missed you. And this kind of cheeky, sweet short fun fiction. Don't tell anyone, but I'm pretty sure the cat did it. I do not want her to know I said that though... cats are notoriously good with those claws. YIKES.

Thanks for the smile!

Before I start I am going to let you know I write poetry and I am new to Flash Fiction so do not take anything I say very seriously. I am new to this. I did find your story quite hard to follow as in who was who and who was animal and who human. That said I got the gist and like the punch line if that is what it is called.

Hi Mark. We make a good team then because I rarely do poetry....usually I am a mystery and crime kind of writer. But thank you for stopping by and giving these short flashes a try. They are fun to write.

This is a cute story for the flash contest. I love the picture of the cat watching the fish. Yes, she committed the perfect crime, and swallowed the evidence, it seems. Children would enjoy reading this story. Hugs! Carol

Those felines can be sneaky little buddies and poor Max got all the blame. I am sure that in someway he will pay her back too!

You told a very funny story in just eighty words! It was indeed the perfect crime. LOL. Thank you so much for sharing this story, and best wishes to you.

lol. Cats! Naughty thing blaming Max, and of course demolishing the evidence. You wrote this flash very well, and chose a very good image to accompany it. Best wishes for the flash contest.

Thanks so much, Wendy. I guess Whiskers feel her nine lives gives her the entitlement to do naughty things.... but blaming poor Max, not a good thing. Thanks for enjoying this flash.

Well I can say this about my cats killing my plants, because a fish will not survive for sure in my house. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the contest.

Thanks IZA. I could see the cat with her paw in the fish bowl, batting at it. But blaming poor, overgrown Max for her dastardly deed was so unacceptable. Smiles and thank you - Carol

Those sneaky little felines purr and act so sweet, but their nine lives let them get away with so much. I felt bad for poor Max getting the blame.

Thanks so much Marilyn. I appreciate your review and your thoughts. Those silly little cats can get away with so much with their nine lives, but blaming poor Max.... that was cruel.

Hehehe, I loved it. She'd just committed the perfect crime and knew it that little feline monster. Oh they are like that, aren't they? All the best of luck, Carol. Ulla xcx
