This is a well-crafted poem. This poem reads and flows well. Good personification with "ground wears it's Sunday best". Excellent complimentary picture. Nice job.

I do love your images, both the choice of art and words you choose to describe them. Absolutely. We were riding the Harley today...and I wish I could wrap the Harley riding feeling in words. Leaving responsibilities and phones behind...riding through the mountains capped with snow. We have a ride we do down daffodil lane. Long ago someone planted them for miles along a country road. I remember riding a motorcycle with my exhusband, it was so much fun. The smells, the wind the sun, everything seems more vibrant.

This is a good example Gogyohka poem. I would have preferred a more classical Haiku version as follows:
cherry blossoms fall
across the path to the church -
ground wears Sunday best

I remember being lucky enough to visit Washington DC when I was young. It was spring and the weather was just beautiful. The trees were just ablaze with color. I can picture it now. Gretchen

I'm pretty sure I've shared before that one of my favorite pastimes is to walk through the Tidal Basin in Washington DC when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. The gorgeous bloom and the smell are perfect. Your poem reminded me of this. I think Shelly did a poem about cherry blossoms too. Thank you.

cherry blossoms are my second fave flower - daisies are my fave
great imagery and i like the sunday's best across the church parking lot
one suggestion i have is maybe move 'across' to the third line to make it longest so it goes across the page...
