'Twas kinda down and out, I needed fun to post about

So I turned off the news, hoping to stop singing the blues

For fresh or light, I searched, and then up on my chair, I perched

No more was I confused, because then I was so amused 


I found National Day, and so for you I will portray

It wasn't only one; I found so many that were fun

But what I'm looking for was "Positivity" galore

And yet how very sad, this one day hopes that yours is bad


You'll keep peace in your house, if you don't mention day, "Ex-spouse"

My poet friends, don't fear; there's one to have you talk Shakespeare 

Dear cat lovers, I call, to join the day of the hairball

It was so sweet, I smiled, they celebrate the middle child


This one is not a loss, 'cause it's about a fruit cake toss

If this is your design, they even have a 69

I have to say, "No way," to squirrel appreciation day

A little bit bizarre, about outdated VCR


If these don't make you sing, we'll do a National Nothing

A day easy to do, would be to say words,  "I love you"

And may the fighting cease, then everyday there'd be World peace

For this National trip, now let's all celebrate friendship
